The ladies of the Redeemer Quilters are a busy bunch, and they have the documentation to prove it.

Seasonal wall hangings are displayed in a classroom at the Lula G. Scott Community Center in Shady Side. The quilted decorations were sewn and donated by the Redeemer Quilters.Linda Johnson, group founder, keeps a binder filled with dozens of newspaper articles, thank-you notes and photos they've received since they began quilting shortly after Hurricane Isabel hit the county in 2003. The group of 11 parishioners from county churches meets each Friday morning at Christ Episcopal Church on Owensville Road in West River to sew blankets and quilts for a number of local charities.
