Funny money surfaces in EdgewaterPublished 01/08/09
County police are warning businesses to take a closer look at the cash they receive from customers after phony bills surfaced in Edgewater this week. Within minutes Tuesday, three faux bills were reported to police by businesses on Central Avenue and Solomons Island Road. The bills appear to have been used by three different individuals, according to police reports. And it's unknown if the customers even knew they were passing funny money.
