sewer & taxes - 2009-02-08 10:08:07

The county put the moratorium in place for the mayo peninsula, but when the property tax assessments came out the taxes weren't lowered to reflect the the fact that your lot would be unbuildable for a undetermined amount of time. The lots should be assessed at the value before the sewer was put in place. Also lot owners are paying a hookup fees and can't use the sewer how is this fair. The allocation process required lot owners to engineer and permit their lots before being consider for the allocation with no guaranty, after you have spent thousands of dollars.County permits expire after one year if work on construction has not started. Were did the impact fee's go that the county charge builders/homeowners go? I paid $12,000 for one 1800 square foot home
