Davidsonville Boy Scout Troop 424 traveled to New York City to act as ushers at the dedication of the Navy ship USS New York last month. The ship is one of three San Antonio Class Landing Platform Dock ships built and named in honor of the victims and survivors of the Sept. 11 attacks. The other two, the USS Arlington, named for the county where the Pentagon is located, and the USS Somerset, named for the county in Pennsylvania where the fourth plane crashed into the ground, are under construction by Northrop Grumman in Louisiana.
