As Sunday morning's rains gave way to sunny skies and balmy breezes at Camp Barrett in Crownsville, an outdoor worship service and luau got under way. For the third year in a row, parishioners from Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Edgewater and Our Lady of Sorrows in West River came together for a festive "Parish Cluster Picnic" with lots of food, games and entertainment.
Kathy Elder, a Holy Family parishioner and one of the event's primary organizers, said the churches decided in 2008 to pool their resources for one spectacular picnic that they could all share. The idea...
