Young aspiring authors, winners of the Young Authors Contest sponsored by the Anne Arundel Reading Council, were joined Sunday by accomplished writer Ronald Damon Malfi during a small reception in their honor at Severna Park Library. About half of the 15 county middle school winners met the local celebrity, originally from Severna Park, now residing in Arnold, as they read their winning short essays and poems.
