Teen programs are challenging, but we at The Community Center feel they are worth the effort. Last fall we suspended the Friday Night Coffee House for teens in our youth center that had been serving this community for more than 10 years. There were several reasons for taking this action, including the safety of program participants and the community at large.
Over the past few months we have been evaluating and brainstorming about this program. To look at future program possibilities, we are having an open community meeting Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Holy Grounds Youth Center. Young people and adults are welcome to attend to share...
