New York Mets pitcher Juan Padilla attended a Mustang National League (8-year-olds) game between two Green Hornets teams, the Mets and the Cardinals, at Cypress Creek Field on May 2. Mr. Padilla, who is currently on the disabled list, spoke to the kids for more than 15 minutes, signed autographs for both teams, and stayed the entire game to watch and cheer the kids. (His uncle is a co-worker of Jim Mackrell, a coach of the Hornets’ Mets.)
