Brian and Deanna Johnson of Severna Park have had to make a temporary move to Pittsburgh, Pa. to a two-bedroom apartment near the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where their son Zachary (Zac), 1, was flown to in early August. He was in shock as his liver was failing. The couple quickly found an apartment closeby.

Zachary Johnson, 1, of Severna Parks, was diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC) and is waiting to receive a life-saving liver and small bowel transplant.
Now they are huddling next to their son, waiting for him to receive a life-saving liver and small bowel transplant. Zac and his twin Aidan were born seven weeks premature on July 2, 2006. Aidan went home after three weeks in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Zac wasn’t so lucky.
