Classic car show, barbecue event sponsored by S.P. Baptist Church

For a first-time effort, Severna Park Baptist Church's Cruise 'N' Classic Car Show & Chicken BBQ went well last Saturday.

A gift to the community from the church, the colorful event was the perfect way for local families to spend a sunny summer afternoon.

The strains of "La Bamba," "Rock Around the Clock," "Blueberry Hill" and other favorites competed with the sounds of well-tuned engines as families wandered through the rows of classic cars or observed the scene from the shady lawn.
