Pam Ward of Shipley's Choice wanted to do something special for her son, Army Capt. Stephen P. Ward and his new wife, Amanda Sessoms Ward.

The cake, a model of the Army’s M1A1 Tank, was made by Charm City Cakes in Baltimore and will be featured in an upcoming segment of the Food Channel’s “Ace of Cakes,” program hosted by Duff Goldman. The couple, both 28-year-olds, renewed their vows and received a blessing of their marriage June 28 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wilmington, N.C. They were originally married April 27, 2007, on Bald Head Island, N.C., prior to Capt. Ward's deployment to Afghanistan with the 97th Civil Affairs Battalion, U.S. Army Special Operations Command.
