Anticipation grew by the minute as five members of Cub Scout Pack 994 headed toward the pier belonging to Cypress Creek Improvement Association President Ed Krause.

Wood, the Cubs were about to perform their first task as oyster gardeners. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Oyster Gardening Program, created 12 years ago, helps citizens become involved directly in the bay restoration effort by raising young oysters.
