Youth RISE/Leo Club's holiday projects at SP Middle a big successPublished 12/18/08
Severna Park Middle School students checked two red and white striped barrels last Thursday and found them brimming with toys.

They are also holding one of the blankets they made for Sarah’s House, a homeless shelter in Fort George G. Meade. Students Julia Shuart, Sabre Young, Christina Sparby and Shenell Allen are members of the school's Youth RISE/Leo Club, a service learning club which is holding a schoolwide toy drive with the Sharing Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit organization that assists needy, working families in the county. The toys collected would later be wrapped and distributed to children of those families by the Sharing Foundation. Students were generous with their donations, in part because Youth...
