Around the Park: Basketball wins send youngster to Elks national competitionPublished 04/09/09
Olivia Burchfield, 11, loves to dribble and shoot baskets. Playing basketball in her neighborhood of Swan Ridge since she was about 6 years old, the 5-foot fifth-grader has compiled quite a record on the indoor court since January as one of the competitors in the Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest.
