"Shhh! - It's a surprise," read the e-mail sent out earlier this week to parents of St. John the Evangelist students. And a surprise it was - for Sister Linda Larsen, principal of the school for the past 21 years, who was blindfolded and motored out on a John Deere tractor to the school's front athletic field yesterday morning. Waiting in a light drizzle of rain to greet her with a resounding "Surprise!" were hundreds of students, parents, teachers and the St. John's School Board and Athletic Association members, all gathered to unveil a sign to her, which had been covered with green cloth for...
