Community mourns Terry Robinson

A shock wave rippled through the Severna Park community earlier this month as the news spread that Terry Robinson, 46, a husband, father and longtime Green Hornets lacrosse coach and Chartwell resident, died suddenly July 3 while biking with his stepson Chris Hankins and the Severna Park Peloton Bicycle Club.

A banner and impromptu memorial in honor of the late Terry Robinson, longtime lacrosse coach for the Green Hornets, was draped across a fence along Lynwood Drive outside Severna Park Middle School. Current and former girls lacrosse players who played on Terry’s team decorated it with notes, Hornets memorabilia and flowers.
The pain and shock are still raw for his wife Lorie Hankins, who is still in disbelief that he is gone.
"It has been an overwhelmingly rough situation to handle," she said. Walking her through this tough time are her family, Terry's friends, fellow coaches, her Chartwell neighbors and the Benfield Elementary...
