While many community organizations offer scholarships to high school graduates, few make financial assistance available to women who want to resume their educations - particularly those age 40 through 60.

But, help is just an e-mail away for women living in Severna Park. There are four active chapters of the Philanthropic Educational Organization sisterhood, an international organization dedicated to helping women finance their educations. The Severna Park chapters are part of the ground-breaking organization based in DesMoines, Iowa.
