All it took was one well-timed shot for the Lake Shore Hot Shots to secure a narrow win over the Severna Park Green Terrors in a junior B field hockey contest on Severna Park High School turf on Tuesday.

Despite awe inspiring performances by Severna Park goalkeepers and twin sisters Morgan and Jesse Binnix, Lake Shore's JoAnn Scanlon caged a one-timer fed by Kiana Murdock early in the match for a 1-0 lead that would remain until the final whistle blew.
The Green Terrors had their final chance to even the score when Taylor Albers drove the length of the field and forced a Severna Park corner, but time was against them and...
