In the second round, athletic Norfolk Rivaldo edged Severna Park, 4-3. Beall, Alex Mienert, and Collin Altimari tallied, and Ben Lowder and Adam Schaefer each assisted. Connor Quigley and Bobbie Sacker split goalie duty, and with the score tied in the second half, Sacker blocked a penalty kick, but Norfolk notched a late game winner. Entering the third match, Severna Park needed a shutout over Virginia Rush Peninsula Revolution to qualify for the championship game. Severna Park delivered an overpowering defensive performance behind Nick Henault, Eamon Ryan, Jordan Clarr and Stephen Johnson. Quigley protected the goal in a vital shutout, 2-0, with support from defenders Paul Bonner and Liam McNally. Beall and Alex Gaigler each scored, and Henault and Joe Shehade assisted. The Championship game matched Severna Park against Shenandoah Valley United. Shenandoah Valley was undefeated in its bracket with 12 goals for and only one against, but the United changed that. Skoop scored on a penalty kick and Sacker made 12 saves as the United posted another shutout, 1-0, for the title. The United, coached by Emile Henault and Stacey Ryan, stand at 3-2-1 in the National Capital Soccer League. The squad will host D.C. Stoddert Red Storm (1-3-2) on Halloween at Kinder Farm Park.
