With a rookie head coach and a roster filled with players of mixed levels of experience, the 80-pound Division 1 Hornets' 19-0 loss to Crofton in the season opener left the organization wondering what kind of season this team would have.

Head Coach Marc McDaniel said he saw potential in his team and felt certain that the loss did not indicate what would happen in the future.
Led by Carlos Coates, Ryan McDaniel and Tucker Denault, the defense recorded four shutouts and allowed only one touchdown in three other games.
