Close to 100 entries went marching by on Monday as Severna Park celebrated Independence Day with the annual parade followed by a festival at Cypress Creek Park.

The Severna Park Green Hornets football team float was an exciting place to be for the young football players riding the float. They were thrilled to have members of the Naval Academy football team marching along beside them, resplendent in their blue and gold uniforms.
Sponsored by the Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce, each year the parade brings a swarm of spectators from near and far. Communities and businesses participate by entering floats, this mix matches the chamber's mission.
