Teen of the Week: Vazquez finds success in Civil Air PatrolPublished 07/02/05
Edward Joseph Vazquez is nobody's junior. Not even to his father, Edward M. Vazquez, a chief petty officer in the Coast Guard. A rising senior at Arundel High School, the Odenton resident is riding high these days. He's one of only three members of the Civil Air Patrol in the state to participate in the first CAP horse-mounted unit formed since 1946. Along with his two younger brothers, Michael, 14, and Christopher, 12, he's shared the vagabond educational track of other "military brats."
