As a Boy Scout since sixth grade, Cory Johnson has long known what it means to be part of a team. Throughout his years in Troop 975, he has worked alongside his peers on camping outings, canned food drives, even helping to man a sailboat with other Scouts for a week in the Bahamas.
The 18-year-old graduate of Archbishop Spalding High School took that initiative to the next level earlier this year, collecting roughly 1,200 books for new babies born at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
