Odenton's Epiphany Episcopal Church, the only known World War I chapel in the United States, recently celebrated its 90th anniversary among friends, family and special guests.

The Gooden Family has attended Epiphany for the past 14 years.The church is proud of its multi-cultural and ethnically diverse congregation. Epiphany Episcopal Church had its roots in Odenton in 1918, serving the men who passed through its doors on their way to war. When originally constructed, the church was laid out in the shape of a cross in an ''Arts and Crafts'' style, designed by architect Riggin Buckler, a prominent member of Maryland society at the time.
