Police and residents to renew talks on crimePublished 08/17/08
Residents of several troubled Severn neighborhoods will meet with county police this week to discuss police tactics and communication problems. On Tuesday, police representatives will meet with residents of Stillmeadows, Meade Village and other nearby neighborhoods at Van Bokkelen Elementary School. "The end result that everyone's looking for is a safe place to live," said County Councilman Daryl Jones, who help set up the meeting. This is a clear cut example of what can no longer be tolerated in West County. With BRAC comming, these communities must be cleared of crime or the criminals. We need both a carrot and stick approach. Provide resources and whatever police presence it takes.
