Boy Scout Troop 721, sponsored by the Odenton Kiwanis, has a new Eagle Scout. Zach Anders, son of Amy Anders, recently received his Eagle Award, Scouting's highest honor, in an Eagle Court ceremony.

Zach Anders, a member of Boy Scout Troop 721 sponsored by the Odenton Kiwanis Club, stands in the Memorial Garden at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church that he created for his Eagle Award.
Zach began Scouts as a Tiger Cub with Cub Pack 769, sponsored by Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church, where he progressed through the ranks and earned the Arrow of Light, the Cub Scouts' highest award before bridging into Boy Scouts.
Citations to Zach on obtaining the rank of Eagle were received from Gov. Martin O'Malley, and U.S. Rep. Paul Sarbanes, D-Baltimore. He also received an American flag that had been flown...
