The Piney Orchard Figure Skating Team was truly melting the ice at Bowie Valentine's Invitational Competition, endorsed by the recreational Ice Skating Institute, last month.

Even with a few quirks the Production Team won the first place Gold Medal. Produced by Coach Amy McPartland with the help of Katie Grace, members of the team, ranging in age from 5 to 17, skated through a mix of songs sporting the theme of time. Included was a scrambling "9 to 5," a gentle flowing "Time After Time" sequence, and a roaring "Rock Around the Clock" with poodle-skirted skaters encircling a leather jacketed gang...
