Around West County: Arundel High School music awards presented at annual banquetPublished 07/01/09
The Arundel Music Department and the Arundel Instrumental Music Association held its annual awards banquet at the Nichols-Bethel Methodist Church in Odenton on May 30.

Graduating seniors Sarah Wightman, left, and Mary Rosekrans, right, turn the Arundel Marching Band over to incoming senior Katy Protin following ceremonies during the Arundel High School Music Awards banquet May 30 at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton.Outgoing AIMA President Mitch Wightman and his wife, Patty, were presented a plaque recognizing their eight years of service to the band, performing a variety of functions ranging from instrument repair, sound engineering and pit percussion support to uniform fitting and banquet planning.
