Around West County: Odenton Cub Scouts visit Antietam, set sail in Baltimore

Odenton Cub Scout Pack 209 has had a busy summer so far. At June's Pack meeting and ice cream social, Bryson Randolph and Christian Goldston-Rumpke earned their Bear rank; Carter Birge earned his Tiger rank; and Darrington Curtis earned his Bobcat rank. "All the boys received their new Cub Scout books, along with their new scarves and slides for their next year in Scouting," said Debbie Huprich, committee chairperson.

Their first outing of the summer was a weekend camping trip to Hershey, Pa. Also in June, the boys took a bicycle safety course, conducted by the Anne Arundel County Police Department at the Odenton...
