Around West County: Odenton Baptist Church dedicates new auditorium

The difference between a dream and a goal is a date. Five years ago, Odenton Baptist Church was making plans to expand its sanctuary, which at the time could hold 175 parishioners.

In the very early stages, the church thought about obtaining a sizeable amount of land for their expansion. However, their acres of diamonds lay in their very backyard.

The church and the Odenton Christian School sit on 5.2 acres of land on Piney Orchard Parkway in Odenton. In late 2004, the pastors and deacons of the church interviewed architects and selected Waldon Studios. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new edition of the elementary...
