Odenton is the town the railroad built. That railroad carried hundreds of thousands of military members to and from Fort George G. Meade, but until now, Odenton did not have a veterans memorial to honor the sacrifices our military men and women have made and continue to make so that we may enjoy freedom.

Clifton Romer, 17, of Odenton, tells why he decided to create a veterans memorial for Odenton, the only one of its kind in the community. Clifton Romer, 17, a student at Arundel High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 755, has worked tirelessly over the summer with members of the troop to create such a memorial.
