For Crofton-area residents, the possibility of having bike racks in the Village at Waugh Chapel shopping center could be the start of making the west county community more bike- and pedestrian-friendly.
After years of negotiating, residents said they have reached a tentative agreement with the open-air shopping center's management company, Greenberg Gibbons, to install bike racks near the Caribou Coffee store.
Executives from the company said they are still reviewing the request and looking into an appropriate location.
