Fans of sports memorabilia go well beyond just cardsPublished 10/29/04
Tracey and Darryl Despeaux have a truly deep-seated attachment to the Baltimore Ravens. Part of the back of a section of bleachers from Memorial Stadium, where they saw the team play in the final game at that venue, hangs on a wall in their Pasadena home. Two mint-condition green stadium seats are located nearby. They also have enough additional football, baseball and NASCAR memorabilia in the 500-square-foot room, known as the "crab shack," to fill a small museum - everything from Oriole Al Bumbry's uniform shirt to a signed football from Colts great Art Donovan.
