The holiday season kicks off big time this weekend in Annapolis with Santa’s arrival and the city’s Grand Illumination.

For a change this year, Santa won’t be sailing into the City Dock due to the ongoing construction along the harbor. Instead, he’ll cruise into town at 2:30 p.m. Sunday aboard a fire truck, with his first stop near the Market House. Later Sunday evening starting at 6, the huge tree adjacent to Market House will brighten the sky during the Grand Illumination.
