Four-day, non-stop St. Paddy's Day celebration begins FridayPublished 03/14/08
Cead mile failte! This traditional Gaelic greeting, pronounced kade meelah faultcha, means One Hundred Thousand Welcomes and will be bandied about by revelers across Annapolis this weekend as they get into the spirit of Ireland and celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Although nowhere near as big as the celebrations held in, say Boston, Annapolis' St. Paddy's Day festivities are nothing to be scoffed at, especially not in a year such as this, when the holiday falls on both Saturday (according to the Catholic Church) and on Monday (according to tradition).
