Every year, around the first of October, downtown Annapolis is overrun with boats, tents and people as the Annapolis Boat Shows come to town.

Lee and Catherine McMichael enjoy outdoor lunch at Davis' Pub.The first show, the sailboat show, is this weekend - it started yesterday and runs until Monday. The boat shows are a great addition to the downtown scene, creating a vibrant, festive atmosphere for the two weeks they are here, and adding much to the coffers of the city and businesspeople within.
