Music Box: Joseph Arthur's music is diverse and satisfyingPublished 10/17/08
So many great shows this week. I'll do my best to get you up to speed. Joseph Arthur can be deemed a multidimensional warrior after releasing four EPs (short for "extended play" - four or five song CDs) last year and a new full length CD this year. He's also an accomplished painter, which may explain the need to release so much music over a short period of time. Mr. Arthur has his own record label, called Lonely Planet Records. And he makes really good music, diverse in tempo and intensity, always richly satisfying. Mr. Arthur is not as renowned as, say, Ryan Adams, but he's compiling a compelling...
