San Francisco blues guitarist Tommy Castro may well be the next big thing in blues guitar playing.
Courtesy photoTommy Castro joins Coco Montoya Friday for shows at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis. He won the 2008 Blues Music Award for Entertainer of the Year for his smooth rocking R&B sound and exhilarating stage show. His new release, "Hard Believer," was produced by John Porter (B.B. King, Elvis Costello, Buddy Guy, The Smiths, Roxy Music, etc.). Castro was the guitar player for the electrifying Dynatones during the 1980s, backing major artists such as Carla Thomas and Albert King.
