They waved signs with slogans such as "Our coast, our chance, our future" and they applauded lawmakers who walked a green carpet to sign a pledge to co-sponsor the bill.

"What other movement in Maryland in the cold, in the snow, would turn out this many people?" cried out Chesapeake Climate Action Network founder Mike Tidwell to a chorus of cheers and drumbeats.

The connection is the politicians that pass these bills. The characters in office blamed Ehrlich for the energy crisis and the high rates. They promised to do everything to lower the rates when running for office. Now they are going to let them rise, again. Who are these characters? Every single one is a democrat.

Rather than actually examine, let alone comprehend and comment on the actual issues - we have biased opinions put forward. Ed - please explain to us the direct connection between the energy deregulation (and how the democrats brought it about) to this bills you so vehemently oppose? ROFL

O'Malley supporters ??? - 2008-01-18 14:11:49

GREAAATTTTT ? The enviro-nuts want the Maryland legislature to pass laws tougher than California has. Didn?t anyone learn a lesson from this besides Gray Davis ?
Not ONLY do we have the HIGHEST ELECTRIC BILLS of anyone on the east coast, but if this passes, we?ll also have rolling blackouts to go with them. Wanna bet that more than half of these ?activists? don?t even live in Maryland.
People, this is what you get when you elect DEMOCRATS to office ? politicians that pander to every fringe group because that?s the ONLY way they get votes !!!
