The global conversation about environmental sustainability has grown exponentially in recent years, particularly as our society has begun to wrestle with the future implications of human-induced climate change and the need for renewable sources of energy. As a scientist, it's been amazing watching these discussions move from scientific laboratories and lecture halls, to coffee shops and dinner tables, and even to boardrooms of the world's largest corporations.
