The bearded redhead who famously explored the Chesapeake Bay declared his intent to run for president during an event in Annapolis this week.
Well, sort of.
He earned cheers and chants and plenty of applause for his campaign motto - "A Clear Vision for a Clean Bay" - but Smith has more than a few obstacles to overcome to being a viable candidate.
The first of which is that he's been dead for more than 300 years.
He's also not a U.S. citizen, and he has a bit of a checkered past that included working as a soldier...
