Philanthropist shares his passion for open spacePublished 09/26/08
For a decade, Annapolis philanthropists Tom and Kitty Stoner have been spreading their love for the great outdoors by funding community gardens, hospital meditation courtyards and even a landscaped reflection area at a prison.

Mr. Stoner and co-author Carolyn Rapp, also seated at table, wrote 'Open Spaces, Sacred Places.' The book documents the work of Mr. Stoner's TKF Foundation. Ms. Kennedy is a board member of Unity Gardens, a community greening group that got its start through the TKF Foundation. Now they have another tool to share their message: Mr. Stoner co-authored a book documenting some of their most touching and inspirational projects.
