U.S. Rep. Wayne Gilchrest may have lost the faith of his party's voters in the 1st Congressional District, but he still has the admiration of environmentalists.

U.S. Rep. Wayne Gilchrest thanks supporters last night for honoring him with the Maryland League of Conservation Voters’ John V. Kabler Award. The congressman earned several rousing standing ovations - and a few hollers and cheers - as he was honored last night by the Maryland League of Conservation Voters. After 18 years in Congress, the Eastern Shore Republican was ousted in his primary election earlier this year.
