Bay license plate money at workANNAPOLIS - More than 100 environmental projects are getting funding from the Chesapeake Bay Trust, which gets most of its money from the "Treasure the Chesapeake" license plates. A total of 109 projects are splitting more than $800,000 in cash. Local grant recipients include: Restoration Grants: Alliance for Community Education, $25,000; Chesapeake Bay Foundation, $23,220; Shady Side Rural Heritage Society, $21,570; South River Federation, $25,000; Camp Wright in Stevensville, $9,470.
