WASHINGTON - The head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency promised yesterday that the federal government will crack down on stormwater and animal farm pollution fouling the Chesapeake Bay. Find Us On Facebook
Speaking to a packed room at the "Choose Clean Water" conference, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson said cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay can be challenging because there are many diffuse sources of pollution, such as paved-over cities and sprawling farms. Jackson said the federal government will start drawing up national rules for controlling stormwater runoff, with possible special rules for the Chesapeake Bay...
