WASHINGTON - A local forestry expert has graduated from the National Conservation Leadership Institute.
Sally Claggett, program leader at the U.S. Forest Service in Annapolis, was one of 33 people nationwide selected for the program.
The nonprofit institute aims to the next generation of leaders in the world of conservation.
Claggett is the U.S. Forest Service's liaison to the federal-state Chesapeake Bay Program, which runs the official bay restoration effort.
