Edward O. Wayson Jr., a prominent Annapolis attorney, longtime lobbyist and an earnest patron of Anne Arundel Medical Center, died yesterday of heart failure. He was 54. An imposing man with an old-school sense of humor, Mr. Wayson came from a prominent south county family and was a fixture there in politics, business and development. He also had a passion for helping people, and the list of community service achievements bestowed upon him far outnumber professional accolades he's received during a 29-year legal career.
