Mother stabs son

A Severna Park woman was arrested Saturday and charged with stabbing her 17-year-old son with a kitchen knife during an argument, county police said.

The two apparently had argued over discipline, said Sgt. Shawn Urbas, a police spokesman.

"He was being punished for something and didn't want to listen," Sgt. Urbas said.

Tracye Saunders, 44, got a kitchen knife and stabbed her son twice, police said.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to North Arundel Hospital and treated for a superficial shoulder injury, said Sgt. Steve Thomas, an Eastern District supervisor. He also was...
