Countywide Rain causes problems Anne Arundel County was doused with more than two inches of rain during yesterday's seemingly endless deluge. A total of 2.56 inches fell at Baltimore-Washington International Airport, according to the National Weather Service. County police received 62 calls for accidents between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., including a fatal accident in north county, said police spokesman Sgt. Shawn Urbas. Many of the accidents were minor.
