Tree accident
Four people are recovering from injuries suffered Friday night when a tree limb fell and struck them while they were at a Bible school barbecue at Mt. Olive AME Church.
The four -- Wanda Lynn Downs, 47; Ravyn Alexis Hicks, 8; Jessiah Galloway, 6; and Jerald Alexander Simms Jr., 6; -- were sitting in chairs near the tree shortly before 7 p.m. when the limb fell and struck them, city police said.
Annapolis police and fireighters responded to the church on Hicks Avenue and took the victims to Anne Arundel Medical Center. Ms. Downs suffered injuries to her right leg and ankle, Ravyn had...
